Board and Train Fort Collins - Intensive Training Programs
Board and train programs are an intensive training experience that allow dogs to be fully immersed in training, similar to a “boot camp.” They are often used for rehabilitation for aggressive, highly fearful, and/or highly reactive dogs. Much like rehabilitation for humans, sometimes it is necessary to remove the dog from their normal environment and into a new one that is more conducive to true and lasting positive change. If you are struggling with severe issues, a board and train program may be perfect for you.
What is a Board and Train Program?
In a board and train program with Soul Dog Training, your dog will stay full time with me as your trainer, being fully immersed in an environment dedicated to their health, well-being, and healing. They will receive one-on-one attention every day of their stay, which is necessary to start to heal the underlying problems they are experiencing. Not only will they receive dedicated training time, but they will also learn how to relax during down time, a skill that many dogs with severe issues do not possess. Every dog will be thoroughly evaluated to determine the severity of the behavioral issues and whether or not I’m the right trainer for you.

Mid-program lessons for you to spend time with your dog and learn what they are learning

Leash manners
Advanced obedience - sit, down, heel, place, come
Socialization around dogs, people, objects, sounds, etc.
Problem solving issues such as jumping, barking, etc.
Housebreaking issues such as potty training, chewing, over-excitement, counter surfing, etc.

Going out of town?
What better time to have your dog trained than when you are out of town and already in need of boarding? You can make the boarding experience much more fulfilling for your dog by turning it into a board and train! Schedule an in person evaluation to secure your dog’s spot during your trip!
Board and Train - Extended Stay
Some cases may require 5-10 weeks of intensive training. The length of your dog’s stay will be determined after a thorough evaluation.
