A Holistic Philosophy

At Soul Dog Training, my holistic approach nourishes every dog’s body, mind, and soul.

How do I train?

Every dog is different, and I embrace this diversity. I use tools according to what works best for each dog, considering their temperaments, breeds, and individual wiring. I look at the dog as a whole, complex being—addressing nutrition, home environment, past experiences, breed, etc. so that I can work with a full picture. As your trainer, I will work to get you and your dog back on the same team, being your coach and advocate every step of the way.

Diagram titled 'The Hierarchy of Dogs' Needs' showing a multi-layered pyramid with sections labeled from bottom to top: Physiological, Safety, Social, Esteem, and Problem Solving. Each section lists specific needs such as proper nutrition, water, shelter, exercise, grooming, bonding, confidence, and creativity. The diagram emphasizes the importance of fulfilling foundational needs first for dogs' well-being and growth.

You may notice this graphic is similar to Maslow’s Hierarchy of needs for humans! When you are fulfilled in every area, you are even more equipped to fulfill your dog in every area.
